Blossom’s Gamer League condemns streamer’s dismissive response to misogyny allegations

HONOLULU, Hawaii (Nov. 19, 2024) — Blossom’s Gamer League, a leading organization championing inclusivity and diversity in gaming, has issued a statement condemning the response released earlier today by Skootish addressing allegations of misogyny and claims of resentment toward the league.

“Blossom’s Gamer League takes allegations of misogyny seriously and is deeply disappointed by the dismissive tone of Skootish’s response,” the league said in a statement. “Misogyny is a systemic issue in gaming, and dismissing valid concerns as ‘baseless’ or fabricated undermines the lived experiences of countless individuals who face discrimination in this space.”

The league acknowledged the controversy surrounding Skootish but clarified that the streamer has never formally applied for membership or collaboration. “While [Streamer Name] has no association with our league, the allegations and the subsequent response reflect larger cultural challenges within gaming that cannot be ignored,” the statement continued.
